Chapter Rebirth Update II

Since last month's post, several meetings and conversations with SAE National have taken place. The California Nu Alumni Association (CNAA) facilitated a conference call between CSUN Activities Coordinator Jamison Keller, SAE National staffer Mike Corelli and CNAA President Dorian Quispe which resulted in a consensus that SAE National and Regional staff should lead a training program for Province Chi SAE Alunni who will be directly involved in CSUN Colony formation during the Fall semester of 2007. Also during this period, several initiatives will be launched to identify and recruit a high quality core group of individuals to form the new Colony, chart and implement its development with close supervision of trained Province Chi Alumni, recruit additional members and begin the process of restoring the legacy that we all hold so dear. The very strong emphasis on recruiting a few few good men of very high quality and closely mentoring them during the start-up process appears to be a both prudent and practical strategy for long term success. The Colony will then participate in the Spring '08 IFC Rush. If any additional Brothers are interested in direct participation in this process, please contact me and/or Dorian Quispe. As more information about the Fall '07 training becomes available, I will pass it along here in the Forum. We had some CNAA guests at the May Team Meeting at Lanna Thai. Daryn Freidman and Jonathan Bonesteel, both Cal Nu Alumni from the late 90's, joined us for some fellow ship and a few beers. I expect we'll see them and several others from that era as time goes by. We shared some interesting stories from our different eras and a good time was had by all. Dave Peterson, PKT F.'64, SAE F.'67
