PKT/SAE Drinking Team Meeting

The California Nu Alumni Association is sponsoring a Brotherhood Event at Casey's Bar & Grill, 613 S. Grand Ave, downtown, at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2007. Convenient parking is available at the southeast corner of 8th & Grand, 2 blocks south for $3. As many old Pi Kaps (SAE Cal Nu Founders) as possible should be there to meet and greet Alums from all eras & drum up support of Chapter Rebirth. Casey's was purchased a few years ago by 2 Cal Nu Alumni who have pledged to donate a percentage of total event revenue to the Chapter Reactivation effort.

If anyone is not familiar with Casey's, it's been a popular downtown watering hole since at least the 1970's and resembles the bar on the old TV show "Cheers" in that you walk down to one level below the sidewalk to the entrance. It's fairly large and we've been allotted 2 private rooms in the rear for the CNAA event. There will also be a few poker tables for those so inclined if the appropriate permits can be secured prior to the event.

CNAA is also in the process of planning a Cal Nu 40th Anniversary event in January. The general feeling has been that there would be more participation by the Brothers from all eras if the event were planned well after Christmas, Chanukah and the New Year. More to follow.
