Vance Meyer Recovering from Surgery

Last Tuesday, Vance had surgery to correct a disk problem in his cervical spine. I have followed his progres, and he's coming along fine. He's wearing a neck brace and can't drive for quite a while, but his condition before the surgery was dangerous. Any stress on his cervical spine could have caused paralyses.

The surgery involved fusing a piece of bone from his hip area to the bones in his neck. This, of course, gives new meaning to the phrase "a piece of ass."

Vance wanted me to remind all of you that this condition was discovered during an annual physical. He encourages you to have those checkups.
