Valley Stater's Events in September
Jerry De Felice, Director of Development at CSUN (Good Ol' SFVSC to our memories), sent a nice advance note about an event in September on campus. More details will follow, but it should be a nice event and opportunity to see old friends again. Jerry can arrange a campus tour for groups. You will not believe how much the campus has grown since the 1960s.

Here is Jerry De Felice's note:
Every September we honor those who were instrumental in the founding and growth of California State University, Northridge.
This year’s celebration will take place on Friday, September 24, 2010 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
We invite you to help make this event a success by participating in person and by reaching out to alumni friends.
Scheduled activities to date include:
- A special reception and luncheon on campus for all “Valley Stater’s”
- A tribute to the members and new inductees of the 50 Year Club (alumni of the classes of '59 and '60 and the faculty and staff who served during the same years)
- The dedication of the Ralph Prator Fountain, honoring the late President Prator
- Guided campus tours including a "sneak preview" of the new Valley Performing Arts Center scheduled to open in January, 2011
- Lots of time to visit with friends, colleagues and classmates
While a formal invitation will be sent to you closer to the event, for early reservations, to make suggestions or to become more deeply involved in the planning process, please contact me. Having your participation and involvement this year will make it an even more special day.
