Cal Nu Alumni Message

Brothers of Pi Kappa Tau:

Greetings from the California Nu Alumni Association. A few months ago, the California Nu Alumni participated in a fundraising effort for California State University, Northridge in their goal to fundraise over $150,000 in donations for the “Matador Statue.” Under the direction and management of the Cal State Northridge Alumni Association, this iconic bronze sculpture, designed by artist Jon Hair, will salute the courage, grace, creativity, ability and strength of our students, alumni, and the entire Cal State Northridge community. The statue will be located on campus in the area West of the University Union and East of the Oviatt Library.

Our goal was to reach the Nickel Level ($500) where Sigma Alpha Epsilon will be listed on a bronze plaque located on the seating wall within the Matador Statue site. Our contributions not only exceeded the Nickel Level, but also exceeded the Bronze Level ($1,000), which will list Sigma Alpha Epsilon on an individual 8 inch x 8 inch square paver located on the ground surrounding the Matador Statue site.

In exceeding the $1,000 Bronze Fundraising Level, the California Nu Alumni Association utilized the extra $500 raised to honor you, the founding fathers of Pi Kappa Tau, with the Nickel Level inscription. When the Matador Statue is unveiled this upcoming May, the statue site will bestow the names of Pi Kappa Tau and Sigma Alpha Epsilon. The inscriptions will read:
